URGENT! Our riding areas are in jeopardy.
Thursday, June 1, 2000 Is
your favorite snowmobile trail in a national park? Or a national forest? If riding there is important to you, listen up. The stories you've been reading in the papers and on the Internet are true. The U.S. Department of Interior recently
proposed a ban on snowmobiles in the national parks, starting next winter. If this decision stands, you can guess what's next: the national forests. And you know that's where we do most of our riding. This is serious business.
You don't want to lose your trails. What can you do? Despite media reports, the ban is still just a proposal. The Department of Interior must defend it to Congress. So Congress needs to know what a bad idea this ban is. You need to tell
them that - in letters to your representative and your two senators. http://ski-doo.com/advocacy/default.htm
